"We are glad that we managed to win the tender at Philip Morris Czech Republic. Our goal is to maintain a high level of service and continue to be a quality supplier of logistics services with added value for Philip Morris CR. We would also like to expand the range of services for this client in areas where they use logistics outsourcing," states Jiří Bradna, vice chairman of the board and commercial director of PST CLC Mitsui-Soko.
Effective intralogistics, an inevitability for successful production

And what was decided in the selection process? "I think our success is due to long-term client satisfaction and our ability to meet growing demands in a frequently changing environment. We have offered a solution that is ideal for both parties. However, we are always faced with very strong competitors in tenders, but we are still successful thanks to the quality we offer and the assurances we project into our services. In the long term, we provide internal logistics efficiently and in such a way that neither production nor the end customers of Philip Morris CR are endangered. Of course, price also always plays a role," says Igor Staš, Operations Manager of PST CLC Mitsui-Soko. He adds that the company has managed to expand the services provided in the past two years and highly values the excellent partnership.
Complete replacement of the fleet of handling equipment
The company perceives the further extension of the contract at Philip Morris Czech Republic as a great prestige. "This long-term reference also helped us in our expansion in Slovakia. In addition, we are always trying to innovate processes. At Philip Morris CR, we implemented a digital twin, thanks to which we made a number of optimizations," says Igor Staš and continues: "In addition, in connection with the new contract, we will completely change the fleet of handling equipment, which will bring a number of safety and technological innovations. One of them will be the laser targeting of the position of the forks in the retractors. It will be trucks with li-ion batteries, thanks to which Philip Morris CR will be able to cancel the gas station. So the near future will be greener.”
