LogEx Logistics plans to expand its offer in the field of sea transport in the spring. "Sea transport annually accounted for about five percent of our business. This year we want to expand this offer and focus more on sea transport. We will open a special department focused on sea transport. We will target manufacturing and trading companies," says Vojtěch Dočkalík, director of the Hradec Králové branch of LogEx Logistics.

He assumes that this will mainly involve transport from China and the USA. "We already have quite a few clients who are in demand for sea transport. However, since these transports were not our main domain, we were often unable to get competitive prices. We will therefore conclude contracts with partners who deal only with sea transport. We plan to contact several agents in China so that we can coordinate everything ourselves and not use other parties, thereby reducing transport costs," describes Vojtěch Dočkalík's plan.

The company is also preparing to expand the client application. Thanks to this, transport contractors will have online information about loading, the course of the journey and unloading. They will know exactly where their goods are located, whether the original unloading date applies and whether there have been any complications during the transport. Thanks to this, they will not have to call or write e-mails to dispatchers.

The application has been in operation for about a year and has so far functioned as a medium for marketing communications, but it also contained overviews of orders and invoices. The application has also allowed for entering transport requests from the beginning. Now it will be added to the transport tracking function. "We believe that this extension will contribute to improving the quality of our services and increasing comfort for customers. This is a clear trend. Clients do not have to ask questions and wait for an answer, they will see everything online after logging into the application," states Vojtěch Dočkalík.

The developers are also preparing an internal application for cooperating carriers, thanks to which users will learn about the request earlier than from the database.

LogEx Logistics offers services primarily in the field of road transport, which has long been one of the sectors with the highest volume of transported shipments, but it also provides air and sea transport, express shipment transport and warehouse logistics.
