Currently the youngest building in the company’s Central European portfolio is located in Prologis Park Ruda Śląska in southwestern Poland and was designed to achieve BREEAM Excellent certification. Among other things, it is equipped with an intelligent building management system (BMS), which allows for real-time energy consumption monitoring, control of heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in buildings and optimization of energy consumption. LED lighting with sensors also contributes to energy savings. In addition, the space has a reinforced floor with a load capacity of 10 t/m² and a ceiling height of 12 meters, so it can be used as a warehouse and a production hall.
Prologis has been operating in the Central European region for more than 20 years and has 400 customers across various sectors. In the Czech Republic, the portfolio already includes over 1.4 million m² of premium warehouse space in 11 logistics parks in top locations such as Prague, Brno and Pilsen. The latest development, a 5,500 m2 sustainable building at Prologis Park Prague-Chrášťany, was completed last summer. Prologis is currently preparing further development sites, particularly in and around Prague.
