At the end of May, the Arete Group completed the construction of the third building within its industrial complex in Zdice in Central Bohemia. The hall will provide space for a logistics center with an area of 7,233 square meters. The tenant is the logistics service provider Kuehne+Nagel, which has taken over the hall and will start using it in June. As this company states, it is responding to growing customer demand and increasing its capacities in a sought-after logistics location in order to offer even more efficient and faster shipment transportation.
"The opening of this cross-dock represents an important milestone in our efforts to provide first-class logistics services," explains Martin Froněk, director of the ground transportation division."Thanks to this new infrastructure, we will be able to better meet the needs of our customers and at the same time contribute to a more sustainable way of doing business," adds Miroslav Pudil, CEO of Kuehne+Nagel in the Czech Republic.
This is the third building in Arete Park Zdice, while the first two halls are already occupied by two other tenants. The industrial park provides spaces for light manufacturing, assembly and logistics. The total existing leasable area of the park in Zdice increased by 41% to 24,808 square meters after the opening of the new hall. The share of warehouse space in this park is now 45%, and production accounts for 55%. The location of the park is situated in the immediate vicinity of the D5 highway between Exit 22 and Exit 28, one of the advantages is the availability of labor from the catchment area of Beroun, Zdice and Prague. According to the company, the specification of production and storage areas meets the latest technological and ecological standards. There is a photovoltaic power plant on the roof of the hall and BREEAM certification is in the process.
The total leasable area standing or under construction of the portfolio of the Arete Industrial fund amounts to 201,000 square meters. The vast majority of tenants of these parks operate in the logistics and light manufacturing sectors. A larger part of the fund's portfolio is located in the Czech Republic, a smaller part is located in Slovakia. The Arete Industrial fund is one of the first real estate funds that is so-called "light green" according to the European SFDR regulation, the company further informs. In addition to the growth of the portfolio and the value of this fund, the Arete investment group is preparing to expand its activities with other funds focused on income assets.
