In March of this year, Prologis signed a contract with Plzensky Prazdroj, which in 1842 for the invention of the first golden lager of the Pilsen type, today the most popular type of beer in the world, for 9,700 square meters of state-of-the-art logistics space in the recently acquired Prologis Park Pilsen II .
As the largest Czech beer producer and exporter, Plzensky Prazdroj was looking for a way to expand its storage capacity for its perishable goods in a location that offers quick and easy access to key markets. Located just 25 kilometers from the Pilsner Urquell brewery, Prologis Park Pilsen II provides the optimum solution for the expansion of distribution activities thanks to its location on the D5 motorway connecting Prague with Bavaria.

The established logistics market in this area, considered the gateway of the Czech Republic to Western Europe, enjoys great interest from customers who want to use its key position on the main east-west thoroughfare to Germany. With the closure of this transaction, the only existing building in the 42,000 square meters park, which was acquired last year, is now 75 percent leased.
