“Thanks to the expansion of capacities, we are optimally prepared in the future flexibly and quickly to offer our business partners suitable services of warehouse logistics, including storage of dangerous goods,” says Harald Zahaska, Managing Director of Gebrüder Weiss ČR.
With a newly completed area of 4500 m2, the total storage area of the logistics part now has 15,500 m2, with about a third being a large ADR warehouse, which was extended by another 1000 pallet sites. Another novelty is a separate, temperature -controlled warehouse space for organic peroxides, which meets the highest valid safety requirements. “The new halls correspond to the current highest standards and have the possibility to control the internal temperature and cooling, which is provided by installed heat pumps,” explains Aleš Soldán, logistics manager Gebrüder Weiss ČR.
Gebrüder Weiss also took into account a number of ecological and economic aspects during the new building project. In addition to heat pumps and LED lighting, innovative loading ramps were installed to ensure sustainable and energy -efficient operation of the logistics halls and LED lighting, minimizing heat losses in the hall when loading and unloading, thus reducing energy consumption.
The current extension of the terminal with a total investment of EUR 4.3 million is the third extension since the opening of the headquarters eleven years ago. The company currently has a total of ten branches in the Czech Republic with almost 400 employees.
